Getting out and about into your local parks can have a positive impact on your health and well being. Within South Lanarkshire Leisure & Culture you can participate in a range of activities ranging from walking to water sports to adventure play areas. With six parks within South Lanarkshire to visit there is something for all the family.

The parks come in all shapes and sizes with a wide range of facilities including adventure play areas, cafes and exhibition spaces, a water sport centre and a miniature railway.

You will also find a zoo at Calderglen Country Park and at Chatelherault we have the historically important Hunting Lodge, which is open to the public.

Also included is information on local nature reserves, allotments and skateparks.

Whichever park you choose to visit you will find something for everyone, whether you are a bird watcher, interested in local history, seeking a family day out or simply enjoying one of the many fine walks we have on offer.
